Band coaches are available to help bands with the writing process, facilitate the rehearsals, and answer questions as necessary.

You’ll have opportunities to share your music in song circles, coffeehouses, concerts, and feedback sessions.

Beginners often find themselves performing complete arrangements of their favorite songs by the end of a single session.

Advanced players will fine tune their skills–learning the subtleties of instrumental and vocal technique.

Summer Songs is a community, a retreat, and an experience for songwriters of ALL levels — whether you’ve written 100 songs, are looking to write your best song, or haven’t written one…yet!

We continue to keep Penny’s vision of a “camp for grown-ups” that allows each person’s artistry to shine.

With offerings in both drama and musical theater, our students have several opportunities to experience the full of cycle of staging and performing a play or musical throughout the summer.

Recent productions include High-school aged students may audition for The Usdan Troupe which presents one fully staged musical production every year.

All levels of experience are welcome, from “never played music before” to “piano when I was a kid” to “I play guitar in my band but I’ve always wanted to play drums.” Throughout the weekend, workshops are held on a variety of topics, from songwriting to screenprinting/band art.
